İstanbul Medipol University is a foundation university that was officially established in 2009 and began its educational activities with its first students in 2010. The university has reached the level of growth it aimed for and continues with a focus on quality and continuous improvement. The university operates across four different campuses: Kavacık (North and South), Haliç (Unkapanı), Bağcılar (Medipol Mega University Hospital), and Esenler. As of 2023, Istanbul Medipol University comprises 12 Faculties, 5 Institutes, 1 School, 4 Vocational Schools, 1 English Preparatory Division, and 21 Research Centers. These sections offer 113 associate degree programs, 74 undergraduate programs, 62 master's programs, and 48 doctoral programs. During the 2023-2024 academic year, the university has a total of 46,988 students, including 14,112 associate degree students, 30,855 undergraduate students, 1,206 master's students, and 815 doctoral students, with 10,738 international students. As of November 2023, the university employs 880 full-time faculty members, including 241 Professors, 148 Associate Professors, and 491 Assistant Professors. The number of lecturers is 187, and there are 390 research assistants, bringing the total number of academic staff to 1,457, with 32 being international faculty members.
