Officially founded on May 18, 2007, Ozyegin University aims to contribute to social development with its contemporary education system, sector-integrated educational approach, and innovative structure. The university welcomed its first students in September 2008 at the Istanbul Altunizade Campus and has been continuing its education at the Çekmeköy Campus since 2011.
The Cekmekoy Campus, designed by one of the world’s leading architectural firms, is Turkey's first university campus to receive the LEED Gold Certificate. Spanning a total area of 280,000 square meters, this campus offers state-of-the-art classrooms and laboratories, an extensive sports center, a large library, and two major auditoriums. The campus is designed to support the academic development of students while fostering their social, sporting, and cultural engagement.
Ozyegin University is committed to the mission of being an "entrepreneurial research university," striving to conduct studies that benefit society and create added value. The university engages in projects with commercialization potential in addition to publishing research in international journals. It emphasizes producing graduates who are well-versed in emerging professions, proficient in foreign languages, adept at communication and information technology, skilled in practical application, and entrepreneurial.
