Çukurova University was established on November 30, 1973. In 1992, Çukurova University, consisting of 6 Faculties, 11 Vocational Schools, 3 Institutes, 1 State Conservatory, and 22 Research and Application Centers, contributed to the establishment of three new universities as well. From past to present, our university has developed itself with 19 Faculties, 2 Vocational Schools, 11 Vocational Schools, 1 State Conservatory, and 4 Institutes, and is educating equipped young people. In 38 Research and Application Centers, various research and scientific activities are carried out according to the needs of our country. In order to ensure that students can attend their classes in a quality and healthy environment, modern classrooms and amphitheaters are available on campus. In addition to the region's most important hospital, the campus includes a Medicosocial Unit, lodgings, social facilities, comprehensive sports halls and fields, a healthy living center, a kindergarten, a market, cafeterias providing lunch for students and employees, units providing telephone services, bank branches, and a central library. In addition to educational and scientific activities, Çukurova University attaches great importance to social and cultural activities. Many cultural events such as conferences, seminars, congresses, symposiums, theater, and concerts are organized. The Medicosocial Center serves to protect the physical and mental health of students and university employees. In the center, which conducts studies in the fields of health, psychological counseling and guidance, and social services, specialist physicians in family medicine and dental diseases provide services.
