Sivas University of Science and Technology was established within the scope of Law No. 7141 published in the Official Gazette dated May 18, 2018, and numbered 30425. It was directly established among 16 universities without any division from an existing university. Under this law, 3 faculties, 1 school, 1 vocational school, and 1 institute were established at our university, creating a total of 651 staff positions, of which 300 are academic staff. The appointment of the rector was made on December 27, 2018, and the establishment activities began as of January 2019.
Graduate education and training began at our university in the spring semester of 2020. Graduate programs are conducted in defense technologies, plant production and technologies, electrical-electronics engineering (English), and computer engineering (English). Starting from the 2024-2025 academic year, students will also be admitted to the master's programs in aerospace engineering (English) and plant protection.
The industrial collaborations and experiences gained in graduate programs also guide our undergraduate and associate degree education. Internship engineering and candidate engineering protocols have been signed to provide our students with field experience.
Students enrolled in the Faculty of Engineering and Natural Sciences and the Faculty of Aviation and Space Sciences begin their undergraduate education after a mandatory one-year English preparatory education. In the Faculty of Agricultural Sciences and Technology, optional English preparatory education is provided.
