The Turkish Logistics Research and Education Foundation was established on July 18, 2007, in Beykoz by a group of professionals and academics. The foundation's aims are to conduct scientific research and publication activities related to the logistics sector, contribute to the professional and behavioral development of sector employees, and train qualified human resources.
The foundation of Beykoz University was laid with the establishment of Beykoz Logistics Vocational School in 2008. The Turkish Logistics Research and Education Foundation initiated Beykoz Logistics Vocational School in 2008 to meet the demand for educated and well-trained human resources in the logistics sector. Until the university was established, this vocational school provided 2,500 graduates equipped with the necessary competencies for the logistics sector. Following the vocational school, the foundation established Beykoz University to offer young people a higher education institution with unique differences and international standards. Beykoz University was officially established on September 7, 2016, as published in the Official Gazette numbered 29824.
Beykoz University comprises four faculties: the Faculty of Business and Administrative Sciences, the Faculty of Art and Design, the Faculty of Social Sciences, and the Faculty of Engineering and Architecture. Additionally, it includes the School of Foreign Languages and the School of Civil Aviation, as well as two vocational schools: the Vocational School and Beykoz Logistics Vocational School. The university also provides education through its Graduate Programs Institute, which offers master's programs. Beykoz University accepted its first students in the 2017-2018 academic year.
