The Love Foundation, since 1978, has been a civil society organization focused on educational services and committed to contributing to the development of beneficial generations for society as its main goal. The Foundation aims to support education activities by providing scholarships to particularly successful but financially disadvantaged students, thereby contributing to their education. The goal of the Foundation is to educate talented and financially needy students, prioritizing them to grow with a national, patriotic, and positive mindset, closely tied to the national culture.
The Foundation aims to provide various services in the field of education at both local and global levels. These services include opening courses, offering specialization opportunities for students domestically and internationally, meeting accommodation and nutrition needs, organizing student relaxation camps, sports events, establishing health facilities, providing education and guidance support to students, providing assistance with books and resources, establishing libraries and conference halls, organizing cultural events, and opening student dormitories.
The Love Foundation utilizes its income to contribute to educational services and continues its work with the opportunities provided by philanthropists. Additionally, it offers an open platform to the public by organizing conferences and seminars that people of all ages can attend.
In the new era, the Love Foundation has established Lokman Hekim University to address the lack of health education in the country. This university aims to contribute to the emergence of conscious and entrepreneurial individuals in the field of health by providing students with the knowledge and skills required in the health sector.
Continuing its pioneering role in history and future, the Love Foundation will continue its efforts to pass on its heritage to future generations and to position the country at the forefront globally.
Lokman Hekim University commenced its academic activities in the 2018-2019 academic year. The university offers education to a total of 4698 students in 5 faculties, namely Faculty of Medicine, Faculty of Dentistry, Faculty of Pharmacy, Faculty of Health Sciences, Faculty of Sports Sciences, and 1 vocational school with 15 undergraduate and 11 associate degree programs. Additionally, it continues its education with 26 thesis-based master's programs, 6 non-thesis master's programs, and 13 doctoral programs within the Institute of Health Sciences. The university carries out its studies with 16 application and research centers under the auspices of the Practice and Research Center.
Awarding its first graduates on August 12, 2020, in the programs of Emergency Medical Technician and Anesthesia Technician under the Vocational School of Health Services, the university has a pioneering and research-oriented institutional culture in health education. Its mission is to educate individuals who are competent enough to realize their potentials anywhere in the world, who are proficient in the knowledge and technologies of the age, who produce in the light of scientific knowledge, who engage in initiatives aimed at contributing to the local, regional, and national economy, who address and develop healthy living at individual and societal levels, and who are committed to ethical values.
With the experience of nearly a quarter of a century in the provision of health services and having a university hospital along with a strong multidisciplinary academic staff, Lokman Hekim University offers rich opportunities for application, research, and internship to students. This constitutes one of the strongest aspects of education.
