Düzce University traces its origins back to the opening of Düzce Vocational School in 1976, which was affiliated with Istanbul Technical University's Sakarya Engineering Faculty. It became an independent institution on March 17, 2006, separating from Abant Izzet Baysal University. Initially comprising 3 faculties and 5700 students, Düzce University has grown to become a preferred higher education institution with over 30,000 students, 12 faculties, 4 institutes, 2 colleges, 10 vocational schools, more than 30 research centers, a Technopark, and a Research and Application Hospital. Since its establishment in 2006, Düzce University has been conducting scientific research and contributing to regional development with innovative activities.
