Kırıkkale University, established on July 3, 1992, started with faculties such as Faculty of Science-Letters, Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences, Faculty of Engineering, and Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, as well as institutes like Social Sciences, Sciences, and Health Sciences. Later, various faculties and vocational schools were added in addition to those specified in the founding law. Today, with 12 faculties, 1 vocational school, 7 vocational schools, 3 institutes, and 23 research and application centers, it is one of the leading universities in the region. The main campus of the university is located on the Kırıkkale-Ankara Highway, with most academic units located here. Additionally, there is a vocational school in Keskin, Delice, Bahşılı districts, and Hacılar Town. The university has started to serve the industry with the establishment of TEK-MER, which brings SMEs together. The Kırıkkale University Technology Development Zone, which includes important organizations such as the Defense Industry Presidency, TÜBİTAK, Gazi University, Machinery and Chemical Industry Corporation, and Kırıkkale Chamber of Commerce and Industry, operates within the campus area. Moreover, the university provides students with the "Excellence" label, in addition to their diplomas, and has received various quality management system certificates.
