Osmaniye Korkut Ata University traces its roots back to 1976. Initially established as Osmaniye Vocational School under the Ministry of National Education, it became affiliated with Çukurova University in 1981. The university acquired its current campus area, the Fakıuşağı Village pasture, through allocation from the Ministry of Finance. On May 29, 2007, with the enactment of Law No. 5662, Osmaniye Korkut Ata University was officially established. During this process, several vocational schools and faculties were incorporated into the university. Presently, the university continues its educational activities with 7 faculties, 2 institutes, 2 schools, and 5 vocational schools.
