Yozgat Bozok Üniversitesi, the 17th of March 2006, with the decision published in the Official Gazette dated March 1st, 2006 by the Council of Ministers. Although our university was established independently in 2006, its infrastructure dates back many years. The foundation of our university is formed by Yozgat Vocational School, affiliated with Erciyes University in 1982, and another Vocational School affiliated with Gazi University in 1989. These two vocational schools were merged in 1994 and attached to Erciyes University. Engineering and Architecture Faculty and Faculty of Agriculture were established in 1992, Faculty of Arts and Sciences in 1994, Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences, and Health Vocational School in 1996, all affiliated with Erciyes University. Akdağmadeni Vocational School became operational in 1997 under Cumhuriyet University. Until 2006, faculties and colleges providing education under Erciyes and Cumhuriyet Universities became affiliated with Bozok University, gaining an independent structure.
The university, which completed its establishment phase and gained momentum in development, continued its education and teaching activities, which it started with 4 faculties, 1 college, 2 vocational schools, and 2 institutes in the 2006-2007 academic year, with 14 faculties, 4 colleges, 8 vocational schools, 2 institutes, 1 Research and Application Hospital, 15 Application and Research Centers, 1 Technopark, 1 Technology Transfer Office, and 4 departments affiliated with the Rectorate in the 2021-2022 academic year.
